Flood Proof House

Hey Guys! How Are You? I'm Marvelous! Anyway, in reading we have been making a flood proof house design. I based my one off Filipino Houses. I also added in a floodwall, a drainage system and made it out of lightweight material. Mine would withstand a flood which is the most likely in a coastal area. We used this Book for help on our designs. Here it is!!!
Thanks for looking at this blogpost! Please follow my blog, recommend my blog to a friend and leave some positive feedback in the comments. That's all from me, Bye!👅

  1. Kia ora Oscar,
Thanks for sharing your great design for a flood proof house. I have recently been on a sailing trip in the Palawan Islands, which are in the Phillipines, and stayed in little huts on the beach at night. They were specifically designed like yours with poles to lift them further up the beach if the tides came in to high. They were also built from lightweight material - bamboo. What programme have you used to design your house?
